URGENT ACTION - Stop the Emergency Act
Advice from Taking Back Our Freedoms. The urgent action to take is to call your MP and to call Senators ASAP. We need them to be flooded with calls. For non-Canadians, call the Canadian embassy in your country.
Here is the message to get across:
- The act (previously called the War Measures Act) is to be used for specific emergencies: either one that seriously endangers Canadians lives/safety and exceeds the capacity/authority of a province to deal with it OR one that threats the sovereignty of the nation (ie a war).
- Neither of these two conditions are met
- Accusations of intimidation and violence are false. These statements were first made by Trudeau and other government leaders to marginalize and vilify convoy participants. Statements were repeated by journalists who simply repackaged what they heard without verifying the facts for themselves.
- The issue is no longer about eliminating Covid-related restrictions. By invoking the federal Emergencies Act in the complete absence of any reasonable justification, Justin Trudeau is setting a dangerous precedent that threatens the right of all Canadians to peaceful assembly and protest.

Calling is much more effective. You need to reach a person and make sure your message has gotten across. Call both the constituency and the parliamentary offices.
The Act needs to be voted on by both members of parliament and the senate within 7 days of announcement. It could happen any day. Please act immediately!
